Founded in 1990 Gyumri Progress University is one of the Oldest University in the Republic of Armenia. The University awards both- Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees to students. The duration of studies of Medicine Program (MD General Medicine) is of 5+1 years including one year of clinical internship. Progress University awards State Degree which enable the graduates to practice and persuade higher qualification in Armenia. The University is licensed and accredited by the Government of the Republic of Armenia. The university has 9 specialties accredited in Bachelor’s degree , 4 specialties in Master’s degree. We have affiliation agreements with 15 of the world’s most prestigious hospitals and research institutes.

Progress Medical University is internationally and nationally recognised by several organisation of the global reputation like the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) and its subsidiary Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER), World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) responsible for recognising as per the American standard, as well as World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS) representing its global recognition. The list of international recognition does not end here. The Progress Medical University is also recognised by the medical council of several countries like India, Georgia, Australia, etc, making the hard earned degree at the university valid for most of the nations. Locally the university is accredited with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Armenia.

CLASSROOMS & LABORATORIES

The English medium classrooms ensure that the ideal ratio of the student and teacher is maintained, The learning is completely student centric and focuses more on the outcomes rather than the objectives. The laboratories are also equipped with the most advanced technologies including the resources for the stimulatory teachings to give the students a real-time-experience and thus preparing them better to apply the acquired knowledge.

HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION

Progress University arranges housing facility for all the international students in its dormitories, for their comfort. The University accommodates 1, 2 and 3 students in each room. These rooms are equipped with beds, desks, chairs, lamps, bookshelves. Shared-kitchen, toilet, shower-room are vailable in rooms. University provides full security to students living on campus. 24-hour CCTV coverage, electronic access to hostel and other measures are available for safety & security of the students.
